Ha Tinh trains on building information modeling in construction activities

Building Information Modeling (BIM) aims to apply science and technology, digital transformation to improve management efficiency, reduce costs, and improve efficiency in construction projects in Ha Tinh.

On the afternoon of October 10, the Ha Tinh Department of Construction held a training conference on the application of building information modeling (BIM) for construction investment projects in Ha Tinh.

To promote digital transformation in the construction industry, on March 17, 2023, the Prime Minister signed Decision No. 258/QD-TTg approving the roadmap for applying the building information model (BIM) in construction activities. In order to specify the roadmap for applying the BIM model in construction investment activities in Ha Tinh, on August 25, 2023, the Provincial People's Committee issued Decision No. 358/QD-UBND on the plan to implement Decision No. 258/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister.

Accordingly, from 2023, all level I and special level works of new construction investment projects using public investment capital, foreign capital invested in public investment and investment under the public-private partnership method will be required to apply BIM when carrying out project preparation work.

Building Information Modeling (BIM) is the process of creating and using digital technology for design, construction, and the implementation and operation of construction investment projects. The application of BIM will replace traditional construction methods, which have been applied for a long time. Improvements in BIM technology help make drawings easier to access and follow, thereby moving towards application in sustainable constructions and reducing the cost of implementing construction projects.

Delegates were trained on BIM by Master Luong Thanh Hung - Deputy General Director of CIC Company (Ministry of Construction).

At the training session, businesses operating in the construction sector in Ha Tinh were thoroughly informed and improved their professional knowledge about building information modeling (BIM) such as: the benefits of BIM in construction management; legal knowledge and necessary expertise to apply BIM according to the roadmap of the Prime Minister in Decision No. 258/QD-TTg; deploying BIM applications in project management, design, construction, and acceptance of construction works...

Through the training course, Ha Tinh Department of Construction hopes to create conditions for construction enterprises to improve their knowledge of BIM; thereby promoting the application of BIM technology in local construction management; applying the advances of superior BIM science and technology to stages of the construction process to create more productive, quality and efficient products.
