Ha Tinh city has implemented many intensive shrimp farming models in 2 and 3 stages for high productivity and efficiency.

In recent years, localities with advantages in shrimp farming have focused on directing and encouraging people to expand the area and scale, improve the quality and efficiency of white-leg shrimp farming in a safe and high-tech direction.

Thanks to that, farming households have the conditions to replicate many technology application models on a large scale such as: farming in floating round tanks, farming indoors, intensive farming in 2 stages, 3 circulating stages, safe farming according to VietGAP process...

Farmers actively control environmental factors such as water, temperature, and food, so shrimp are less susceptible to disease, grow quickly, and have superior productivity compared to extensive and semi-intensive shrimp farming (10 - 20 tons/ha/crop in earthen ponds; 20 - 30 tons/ha/crop on sand or in floating round tanks, square tanks with roofs).

According to the Ha Tinh Aquaculture Sub-Department, up to now, the whole province has nearly 630 hectares of high-tech intensive shrimp farming (an increase of nearly 30 hectares compared to 2021), contributing to exploiting the local potential, bringing high economic value per unit area to the people.

In the coming time, Ha Tinh will continue to review and invest in upgrading infrastructure of concentrated farming areas in earthen ponds to ensure conditions for intensive and high-tech farming; develop concentrated production forms (enterprises, cooperatives, cooperative groups, etc.); promote the production and breeding of good quality shrimp breeds to meet production needs in the province.
