The Hanoi Department of Transport has just decided to reorganize traffic on Au Co Street from the intersection of Thang Loi Hotel to Xuan Dieu intersection (near Quang An flower market) under the project to build an overpass at the intersection of An Duong - Thanh Nien Street to limit traffic congestion.
Au Co route is about to be completed, making people's travel more convenient.
Accordingly, from today (August 20), vehicles will be allowed to travel in both directions on Au Co Street on the main road; residential road (5m road) inside the dike; residential road (5m road) outside the dike from Thang Loi Hotel intersection to Xuan Dieu intersection.
Continue to organize one-way traffic for cars on Xuan Dieu Street in the direction and section from the intersection with Au Co near Quang An flower market to the intersection with Au Co (near Thang Loi Hotel).
It is known that after many years of slow progress, the Au Co - Nghi Tam road expansion project will be opened to traffic in the fourth quarter of 2024.
The project to expand Au Co - Nghi Tam road from Thang Loi hotel intersection to Nhat Tan bridge intersection is 3.7km long (part of the project to build an overpass at An Duong - Thanh Nien intersection, phase 2). The project has a total investment of 815 billion VND, invested by Hanoi Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board.
The project was implemented from June 2020 and completed in 2021, but due to many difficulties, the project could not reach the finish line as originally scheduled.
Upon completion, the project is expected to ease traffic congestion at the An Duong - Thanh Nien intersection, and connect the area outside the dike to the inner city via An Duong border gate. The project aims to facilitate the quick connection between Ba Dinh district and Noi Bai airport via Nhat Tan bridge. At the same time, it will facilitate the connection of the area outside the dike to the inner city via An Duong border gate.
