Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee Tran Sy Thanh has just concluded the policy of planning and renovating the space in the area east of Hoan Kiem Lake.

Accordingly, Hanoi City will study the planning and renovation of the area east of Hoan Kiem Lake in the direction of enhancing public space, open space, serving the community; at the same time promoting the value of the special national relic space of Hoan Kiem Lake and its vicinity.

According to the conclusion, the above policy has also received consensus from businesses and related units whose headquarters are within the scope of public space planning to serve the community in the area east of Hoan Kiem Lake.

Hanoi leaders believe that this is a task that needs to be implemented soon. Therefore, it is necessary to shorten the time for planning research, proposing investment policies for public space projects in the area east of Hoan Kiem Lake, and implementing site clearance, project relocation, compensation, support, resettlement, and land acquisition.

In addition, Hanoi will create conditions and direct departments and branches to support organizations, units and households within the boundaries of planning research and investment projects in determining areas for arrangement, rebuilding agencies and headquarters, arranging alternative working areas, and resettlement projects (for households).

Specifically, Hanoi requested Vietnam Electricity Group, Northern Power Corporation, National Power Transmission Corporation, Hanoi Power Corporation to coordinate with relevant agencies to discuss and agree on plans and methods to resolve and handle related tasks, ensuring smoothness and the fastest time.

The project research scope is from Tran Nguyen Han street to the Department of Culture and Sports headquarters area on Hang Dau street.

Hoan Kiem Lake is a natural freshwater lake located in the center of Hanoi with an area of ​​about 12 hectares and a circumference of 1.7 km.

Currently, the area east of Hoan Kiem Lake is Dinh Tien Hoang Street, about 900m long. Dinh Tien Hoang Street extends from the Trang Tien - Hang Khay intersection to Dong Kinh Nghia Thuc Square.
