The Office of the Hanoi People's Committee has just announced the conclusion of the Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Tran Sy Thanh at a working session on the implementation of investment in the construction of several large bridges across the Red River such as: Tu Lien Bridge, Tran Hung Dao Bridge and Ngoc Hoi Bridge...

Accordingly, the Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee agreed on the policy of constructing 3 large bridges across the Red River using budget funds.

Specifically, agree on the policy of the Investment Project to build Tu Lien bridge and Tu Lien road to Hanoi - Thai Nguyen expressway using public investment capital (in the direction of EPC contract).

The Chairman of Hanoi assigned Vice Chairman Duong Duc Tuan to work with businesses to discuss and agree on an investment plan to build Tu Lien bridge to ensure feasibility, efficiency, and early implementation of construction.

The Department of Planning and Investment was assigned to urgently review the submission of the Department of Transport on the pre-feasibility study report of the investment project, advise, propose, and report to the City People's Committee to submit to the competent authority to organize the appraisal and approval of the investment policy in January 2025. Advise on the arrangement of public investment capital to implement the investment project. Previously, the total investment of Tu Lien bridge was tentatively estimated at 19,959 billion VND.

The Hanoi People's Committee agreed on the policy of implementing the Tran Hung Dao Bridge Construction Project using public investment capital; assigned the Department of Transport to urgently organize the preparation of a pre-feasibility study report for the project, submit it to the competent authority for appraisal and approval according to the correct procedure; and report to the City People's Committee in February 2025.

The leaders of the City People's Committee also agreed on the policy of implementing the investment project to build Ngoc Hoi Bridge and the approach roads at both ends of the bridge using public investment capital. Along with that, the Department of Planning and Architecture was assigned to advise and propose to the City People's Committee to organize a competition for the architectural plan of the main bridge across the Red River, and report to the City People's Committee in December this year.
