From the night of August 22 to August 23, heavy to very heavy rain occurred in Hanoi; rainfall was generally from 50 - 100mm, some places had more, such as: Soc Son 215.6mm, Hoai Duc 193.6mm, Lien Mac (Bac Tu Liem district) 145.6mm, Phuc Tho 128.8mm, Son Tay 117.9mm...
The Hydrometeorological Station of the Northern Delta and Midlands region has made the following assessment: from now until the evening of August 25, Hanoi will continue to have moderate rain, heavy rain, and in some places very heavy rain with thunderstorms, whirlwinds, lightning, and strong gusts of wind.
Total rainfall during this period is generally from 50 - 100mm, in some places higher than 120mm. From the night of August 25, heavy rain in Hanoi is likely to decrease in intensity and area.
Due to the impact of prolonged heavy rain, in the coming days, floods on the rivers: Bui, Tich, Ca Lo will continue to rise rapidly. The districts: Thach That, Quoc Oai, Chuong My, My Duc, Soc Son... need to be on guard against the risk of flooding in residential areas and agricultural production in low-lying areas and along rivers.
According to the hydrometeorological agency, after this period, the North will have less rain until the end of August. In September, the North will continue to experience many periods of moderate and heavy rain, the risk of flash floods and landslides remains high to very high.
