Ha Nam prepares well for organizing the 2024 High School Graduation Exam

The province established 23 examination sites located at 23 high schools with 424 official examination rooms; mobilized more than 1,800 officials, teachers and other forces to participate in the examination tasks.

Of these, there are 7,941 high school candidates, 1,735 continuing education candidates and 431 independent candidates. Of the total number of candidates registered for the exam, 3,139 candidates registered for the Natural Science exam (accounting for 32.4%), 6,208 candidates registered for the Social Science exam (accounting for 64.2%).

The exam sites with the most candidates and exam rooms are Phu Ly A High School (with 30 rooms, 685 candidates), Ly Nhan High School (with 29 rooms, 667 candidates), and Phu Ly B High School (with 28 rooms, 657 candidates).

Director of the Department of Education and Training of Ha Nam, Pham Anh Tuan, said that with the strong direction of the Steering Committee for the 2024 High School Graduation Exam in Ha Nam province, the work of preparing conditions for the exam in our province has received active participation from many sides. Along with actively organizing review sessions for students, the preparation work is also being urgently deployed.

Schools proactively develop plans to inspect and review facilities, promptly replace and repair damage, and ensure the best conditions for facilities to prepare examination rooms and places to eat, rest, and work for more than 1,300 staff and teachers on exam duty.

As for the team of officers working in charge of invigilation at examination sites in the province, by the end of April 23, they had fully participated in training sessions on examination regulations and examination organization techniques, ensuring all technical steps followed the process.

In order to prepare well in all aspects and be ready to serve the 2024 High School Graduation Exam safely and in accordance with regulations, Ha Nam province directs relevant sectors and functional forces to participate in serving the organization of the 2024 High School Graduation Exam, based on the requirements of Directive No. 03/CT-UBND dated May 24, 2024 of the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee on strengthening the direction of organizing the 2024 exams, proactively develop a plan to coordinate well in the information, propaganda, and dissemination of exam regulations and related guidance documents; develop plans and arrange sufficient forces to promptly handle situations that arise, ensuring absolute safety at exam sites and exam activities in the whole province; commit to ensuring food hygiene and safety, smooth power grids, information, and communication during the exam, etc.

The Secretary of the Ha Nam Provincial Party Committee inspected the facilities at the high school graduation exam rooms.

Speaking at the inspection of preparations for the 2024 high school graduation exam, Comrade Le Thi Thuy - Secretary of the Ha Nam Provincial Party Committee emphasized: The implementation of plans to ensure absolute safety for the 2024 high school graduation exam is a particularly important task that is given top priority in the preparation work for the exam organization.

The Provincial Party Secretary requested the Provincial People's Committee, the Provincial Steering Committee for the Examination, the Department of Education and Training and the examination sites to continue to strictly implement the instructions of the superiors and the province on organizing the examination, not to be passive in any situation; review the conditions of facilities serving the examination, propagate to teachers and candidates about the examination regulations; focus on implementing plans to ensure examination safety, prevent and combat cheating using high technology in examinations.

Along with that, it is necessary to review the conditions of facilities and equipment; ensure fire and explosion prevention and control; prepare adequate means, medicines, and medical personnel to serve the health care of candidates, officials, and teachers; assign specific tasks and responsibilities to members of the Steering Committee for the exam at all levels and strengthen coordination in inspection and supervision with inspection forces mobilized to support the province, to prevent errors and violations during the exam.

Continue to strengthen coordination with organizations and local authorities to provide the best support for candidates in difficult circumstances to fully participate in the exam; deploy support plans to help 100% of candidates reach exam locations safely; strive for the 2024 High School Graduation Exam in the province to take place safely, seriously, objectively and with quality.
