Gojek becomes the first ride-hailing company in Vietnam to transport passengers by electric motorbikes |
Gojek and Dat Bike, one of the fastest growing electric motorbike brands in Southeast Asia, have announced a pilot partnership to use electric motorbikes to serve the travel, delivery, and food delivery needs of Gojek users in Vietnam.
Within the framework of cooperation, Dat Bike will provide Gojek driver partners with Dat Bike Weaver++ to perform passenger transport (GoRide), food delivery (GoFood) and delivery (GoSend) services in Vietnam. Using Dat Bike Weaver++ electric vehicles can help Gojek driver partners reduce fuel costs by more than 4 times compared to gasoline vehicles, thereby significantly saving operating costs and contributing to environmental protection by stopping emissions.
Mr. Sumit Rathor, General Director of Gojek Vietnam, said: “The partnership between Gojek Vietnam and Dat Bike is an important step in the journey to implement GoTo Group's "Three Zero" commitment, supporting Gojek's continuous efforts in reducing emissions and converting its fleet to 100% electric vehicles. We hope that this partnership will contribute to joining hands with the Government in the common goals of reducing emissions, towards sustainable development in the future.”
From May 18, 2023, Gojek users will have the opportunity to experience GoRide transportation, GoFood food delivery, and GoSend delivery services from Gojek driver partners riding Dat Bike electric motorbikes with a compact design, no noise and no emissions.
