Lach Van fishing port in Dien Ngoc commune (Dien Chau) was built in 2008 and was renovated, upgraded and expanded in 2014 to accommodate over 120 boats entering the port per day. The port has a seafood warehouse of over 300 square meters, creating favorable conditions for fishermen and small traders to trade and consume seafood. The representative of Dien Ngoc Commune People's Committee (Dien Chau) admitted that the pollution problem at Lach Van fishing port has been going on for a long time but there has been no thorough solution. The commune will continue to inspect and urge the Lach Van fishing port management board to find a solution to minimize environmental pollution affecting residential areas.
