Delivery of breeding cows to the community production group of Phu My commune

On October 23, the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs of Phu Ninh district coordinated with the People's Committee of Phu My commune, Minh Long Agricultural and Forestry Technology Transfer and Tourism Trade Joint Stock Company (Ba Vi - Hanoi) to organize the delivery of breeding Sind crossbred cows to the Phu My commune community production group.

The project to support the breeding of hybrid Sind heifers of the Phu My Commune Community Production Group under Project 2 - Diversifying Livelihoods (under the National Target Program on Sustainable Poverty Reduction for the period 2021 - 2025) is implemented in Phu Ninh district.

The project has assigned to the Phu My Commune Community Production Team 18 crossbred Sind cows, each weighing 220kg or more, with a total value of more than 780 million VND, of which the budget capital from the National Target Program for Sustainable Poverty Reduction is over 460 million VND, the rest is the counterpart fund of the people converted into money; the project completion date is December 2026. All of the above breeding cows have been fully vaccinated.

At the same time, Minh Long Agricultural and Forestry Technology Transfer and Tourism Trading Joint Stock Company also supports households receiving cows with 1.5 months of animal feed. Before receiving breeding cows, households participating in the project are trained by specialized staff of the breeding unit, instructed on care and feeding techniques, how to build barns, prevent and treat diseases for cows...

The Phu My commune community production team has 23 member households, including 6 poor households, 7 near-poor households, 4 households that have just escaped poverty, 1 household with a disabled person without a stable livelihood and 5 households with good economic experience. They play a role in guiding the care and production techniques for poor, near-poor, newly escaped poverty and disabled households, ensuring that households participating in the cattle breeding project develop well and healthily.

The delivery of breeding cows aims to help, support, and provide means of production, share experiences, and create livelihoods for poor and near-poor households, newly escaped poverty households, and households with disabilities to have the conditions to develop their economy in a sustainable direction, gradually escape poverty, increase income, and stabilize their lives.
