FRTE 1:1 Verification is a global facial recognition technology quality measurement and evaluation program conducted by NIST. Every month, NIST conducts a monthly assessment of the accuracy of automatic facial recognition methods from leading technology companies around the world. The assessment is based on measuring the performance, accuracy, speed, storage capacity and memory consumption of facial recognition methods, then compiled into reports.

Dr. Dang Minh Tuan, Director of CMC ATI Technology Application Research Institute, said: “To achieve this result, we have overcome many technological challenges to create a difference in accuracy, recognition speed, especially the ability to quickly search with large data of 160 million faces. This is also a testament to the fact that with high determination, combined with a passion for technology and a spirit of readiness to face challenges, Vietnam can absolutely achieve high rankings in the field of AI in particular and the field of high technology in general.”

CIVAMS solution is a product developed by CMC ATI Technology Application Research Institute since 2019. This is a Make in Vietnam product with CMC ATI Institute completely owning the core technology.
