This information was presented at the medical seminar "Genetic Health and Anti-Aging" held on September 26th in Hanoi, organized by Bac Ha International General Hospital in collaboration with Revita (a unit treating diseases using gene decoding technology in Japan, affiliated with Juntendo University Hospital).
At the seminar, Dr. Nguyen Ngo Quang - Director of the Department of Science , Technology and Training (Ministry of Health) stated that the science and technology development strategy of Vietnam's health sector from now until 2030 focuses on the development of personalized medicine, including gene technology.
Mr. Quang affirmed that, as the state management agency in the field of medical science and technology, the Department of Science, Technology and Training always encourages and creates the best conditions for key cooperating units in Vietnam to coordinate and cooperate in conducting research and testing technology in Vietnam.

Medical experts argue that instead of focusing on disease prevention and risk factors early on, most Vietnamese people only pay attention to health issues and seek medical attention when clinical signs of illness appear. However, proactive prevention and regular health check-ups for screening and early detection of diseases would reduce the burden of illness and improve treatment effectiveness.
Currently, Japan has adopted genetic decoding methods to aid in screening and early detection of many dangerous diseases, including cancer and stroke.
Accordingly, this gene decoding technology, developed by Professor Shigeo Horie, President of the Japan Anti-Aging Association, and his research team, has decoded 3.2 billion gene cells, helping people understand the mysteries of their health, physical condition, nutrition, and genetic factors.
Professor Shigeo Horie shared that diseases such as cancer, cardiovascular disease, and stroke have a significant impact on life, with age being the main risk factor. Most patients typically develop these diseases after the age of 50, and the risk increases rapidly with aging. Different diseases can affect individuals depending on their genetic makeup.
Professor Shigeo Horie's method of combining genetic sequencing and post-sequencing therapy is said to meet the diverse needs of users, from newborns and school-aged children to adults and the elderly. This method is performed by extracting DNA from saliva or blood samples, with results available after approximately 2-3 months.
After receiving the results of the genome sequencing, clients and patients will receive in-depth consultation, helping them proactively develop a health care plan through exercise, diet, and supplementation tailored to their individual needs to prevent cancer, minimize the risk of strokes and chronic diseases, contributing to a healthy future, reversing the aging process, and extending their lifespan.

Bac Ha International General Hospital is currently the sole representative in Vietnam, in partnership with Revita, providing health consultation services using genetic decoding. The hospital will provide free consultations and screenings for patients before referring them for genetic decoding and treatment at Juntendo University Medical Center in Japan.
