Today (August 15) in Hanoi, the announcement ceremony of the VTV Cup 2024 international women's volleyball tournament took place. Accordingly, the tournament has the participation of 8 teams including: Henan (China), Aranmare (Japan), Kuanysh (Kazakhstan), Expressway (Korea), Paint Masters (Philippines), Korabelka (Russia), King Whale Taipei (Taiwan) and the host team Vietnam.

The 8 teams are divided into 2 groups, playing a round robin to determine rankings and then competing in the quarter-finals, semi-finals and finals. The Vietnamese women's volleyball team is in group A with Kuanysh, Expressway, Paint Masters while group B includes Henan, Aranmare, Korabelka, King Whale Taipei.
With the group being considered "easy", coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet and his team have many opportunities to advance further. The bigger challenge for the Vietnamese team is in the next rounds when they face opponents from China, Japan, and Russia. The goal set by the coaching staff of the Vietnamese women's volleyball team is to successfully defend the championship title. Without Tran Thi Thanh Thuy because she is busy competing in Turkey, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team with a squad of talented players who have competed in many international tournaments such as Nguyen Thi Bich Tuyen, Vi Thi Nhu Quynh, Nguyen Thi Trinh, Le Thanh Thuy, Tran Tu Linh, Nguyen Khanh Dang, and Doan Thi Lam Oanh promises to continue their success.
VTV Cup 2024 International Women's Volleyball Tournament has attractive prize structure
One of the attractions of the VTV 2024 International Women's Volleyball Tournament is the attractive prize structure with a total prize value of nearly 32,000 USD (about 800 million VND), including 6 collective prizes and 9 individual prizes. The prize for the champion team is 12,000 USD, second place is 7,000 USD and third place is 5,000 USD.
Nguyen Thi Bich Tuyen and the Vietnamese women's volleyball team aim to defend the VTV Cup championship.
All 24 matches of the VTV 2024 International Women's Volleyball Tournament will be broadcast live on VTV2, VTV5, VTV Can Tho, VTV Go application and VTV Sports Youtube channel.
