The first "Green Race" swimming tournament

The first Phan Thiet City “Green Race” Swimming Tournament in 2023, organized by the City’s Center for Culture, Sports and Tourism in coordination with the City Youth Union, will take place at the swimming pool of the Provincial Sports Training, Coaching and Competition Center on July 29 and 30.

Accordingly, the participants are team members, primary and secondary school students studying at public and private schools and teenagers and children in the city. In addition, units of wards, communes, schools, enterprises, swimming clubs, sports clubs... in the city are allowed to form participating teams. In particular, swimmers from the Provincial Sports Training, Coaching and Competition Center, athletes who have registered to participate in regional and national student swimming competitions in 2022, 2023 and age-group, youth, and club swimming competitions at regional and national levels in 2022, 2023 are not allowed to participate in the tournament.

The competition is divided into 4 age groups. Specifically, the 8-9 year old group swims freestyle, 25m breaststroke for men and women. The 10-11 year old, 12-13 year old and 14-15 year old groups swim freestyle, 50m breaststroke for men and women and 200m mixed relay.

Swimming practice to improve health

The organizers hope that through this “Green Race” swimming tournament, they will contribute to creating a healthy sports playground for teenagers and children in the city during the summer. At the same time, they will encourage teenagers and children to participate in swimming practice, exercise, and improve their health.
