The 5th National Press Award on Anti-Corruption and Negative Practices was organized to promote the role of supervision and social criticism of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations in participating in the fight against corruption and negative practices. Continue to affirm the role of the press in information and propaganda work on preventing and combating corruption, negative practices, waste, and group interests; prevent and combat signs of degradation, "self-evolution", and "self-transformation" within the Party, contributing to the work of building an increasingly clean and strong Party.
Head of the Central Propaganda Department Nguyen Trong Nghia and Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Do Van Chien presented the A Prize to the authors and groups of authors in the 4th season.
At the same time, it contributes to enhancing the role and responsibility of Party committees, authorities, and heads of each agency and unit in the work of preventing and combating corruption and negativity. Timely detect, encourage, praise, propagate, disseminate and widely spread new models, creative ways of doing things, good experiences, and advanced examples in organizing and implementing the Party's guidelines and policies, and the State's laws and policies on the fight against corruption and negativity.
In terms of content, the works participating in the award focus on disseminating and propagating the Party's viewpoints, policies and guidelines, the State's policies and laws on preventing and combating corruption and negativity; especially the Party's new policies and regulations on controlling power, preventing and combating corruption and negativity; regulations on dismissal, resignation, and responsibility of leaders when violations occur. Fighting and refuting distorted arguments about the current work of preventing and combating corruption and negativity in our country.
Reflecting the role and results of the activities of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, socio-political organizations, the press and the people in participating in the fight against corruption, negativity and waste. Detecting, condemning, fighting and handling corrupt and negative acts; especially acts of collusion and connection between enterprises and degenerate and corrupt officials for personal gain, manifestations of factionalism, localism and "group interests", degradation in political ideology, ethics, lifestyle...
The types of journalism participating in the award include: Print newspapers, electronic newspapers, radio, television. The types of journalism participating in the award include: Research articles, reflections, interviews, notes, reports, investigative reports, documentaries, news, special topics, columns, talk shows, investigations, memoirs, comments, essays, multimedia journalism products (video clips posted on electronic newspapers are not accepted).
The Organizing Committee will not consider fictional works (poems, paintings, skits, literary stories, radio plays, feature films); series of articles compiled from independent articles by individual authors at different times of publication, without a series name; works with published content awaiting evaluation and conclusion by competent authorities.
Works participating in the Award must be published and broadcast from November 5, 2023 to July 31, 2025 on press types licensed by competent authorities. Authors whose works are submitted to the Award must not violate the regulations on professional ethics of journalists, the Press Law, the Intellectual Property Law and other provisions of law.
The time for receiving works is from the launch date to July 31, 2025 (based on the postmark). The address for receiving works is at the Propaganda Department of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, No. 46, Trang Thi Street, Hoan Kiem District, Hanoi City.
The award structure includes: Special, A, B, C and consolation prizes for each type of journalism. In which, Special prize is 100 million VND; A prize is 50 million VND each; B prize is 30 million VND each; C prize is 20 million VND each; Consolation prize is 10 million VND each.
The Organizing Committee of the Award will reward a number of press agencies and Journalists Associations at the central and local levels with many works and authors participating and winning awards; and honor outstanding characters in works that win high awards (if any).
