In two days, gold price increased by a total of 1.8 million VND/tael.
This morning, February 4 (January 7), the listed price of gold bars at SJC Company increased to 90.6 million VND/tael, an increase of 800,000 VND/tael compared to the end of yesterday. The buying price also increased by 300,000 VND/tael, to 88.1 VND/tael.
Thus, in just two days after Tet, the price of SJC gold bars increased by a total of 1.8 million VND/tael.
Notably, the selling price of 9999 gold rings at SJC Company today also increased by 900,000 VND/tael, from 89.2 million VND/tael to 90.1 million VND/tael. The buying price of gold rings also increased from 87.5 million VND/tael to 88.1 million VND/tael.
Currently, the buying price of gold rings is equal to the buying price of SJC gold bars - something that no one thought would happen before. Meanwhile, the selling price of SJC gold bars is 500,000 VND/tael higher than the selling price of 9999 gold rings.
At PNJ Company, the buying and selling price of SJC gold bars also increased to 90.6 million VND/tael (selling) and 88.1 million VND/tael (buying).
The price of 9999 plain gold rings at PNJ Company also skyrocketed to 90.3 million VND/tael, buying price up to 88.4 million VND/tael.
Bao Tin Minh Chau Company increased the selling price of gold rings to 90.55 million VND/tael, the buying price to 88.6 million VND/tael, an increase of 800,000 VND/tael compared to yesterday.
The gap between domestic and world gold prices continues to increase.
This afternoon, the world gold price was at 2,817.5 USD/ounce. Converted according to the exchange rate listed at the bank, the world gold price is equivalent to 86.48 million VND/tael.
Thus, compared to the converted world gold price, the price of SJC gold bars is 4.16 million VND/tael higher while the price of gold rings is 3.64 million VND/tael higher.
This difference has been increasing continuously in recent days due to the high demand for gold during the God of Wealth occasion with the belief of praying for good luck at the beginning of the year.
According to records, gold purchasing power has increased in recent days but mainly for luck in small quantities, some just because this year gold prices are at their highest level in history.
