Domestic gold bar prices suddenly dropped by VND800,000/tael this morning, August 6, following the downward trend of world gold prices.
At 9:00 a.m., Doji Company and Saigon Jewelry Company both announced the buying price at 77 million VND/tael and the selling price at 79 million VND/tael, down 800,000 VND/tael compared to the previous closing price.
Phu Quy Gold Company also decreased by 800,000 VND, currently trading around 77.1-79 million VND/tael.
Similarly, the price of gold rings also slightly decreased this morning. Specifically, Phu Quy Company listed the price of 999.0 round gold rings from 76.15-77.45 million VND/tael, down 100,000 VND per tael. SJC 999.9 gold rings also decreased by 100,000 VND, currently trading around 76.15-77.45 VND/tael.
At Bao Tin Minh Chau Company, the price of plain round gold rings is listed at 76.28-77.48 million VND/tael (buy/sell), with no fluctuations.
In the world, the price of gold fluctuated around 2,413 USD/ounce, down 527 USD/ounce compared to the same time last session. This price when converted is equivalent to 73.5 million VND/tael.
This morning, the State Bank listed the central exchange rate on August 6 at 24,240 VND/USD, down 1 VND compared to August 5.
With the above change, VietinBank's buying price is 24,960 VND/USD and selling price is 25,300 VND/USD, an increase of 70 VND.
Meanwhile, BIDV Bank reduced 10 VND, the new price is from 25,930-25,270 VND/USD.
Meanwhile, Vietcombank has no fluctuations, currently listing the USD exchange rate from 24,900-25,270 VND/USD. Eximbank announced a new price from 24,940-25,300 VND/USD.
