A trader in Da Nang also said that this type of fruit is very popular, they consume 50 kg every day. Demand is high but the supply is scarce. They have to order from the western provinces such as Vinh Long and Soc Trang to deliver to customers.

A grower of purple longan in Vinh Long said that he has expanded his plantation to 150 trees in an organic way. Purple longan is a cross between purple longan and longan. The highlight of this variety is that the fruit is very large, with purple skin, thick yellow flesh and small seeds. It can produce fruit all year round, with a yield equivalent to that of regular longan.

This year, they harvested more than a ton of purple longan, which traders bought from the garden for 55,000 VND per kilogram. In addition to selling fruit, they also provide seedlings for 50,000 VND per tree.
