Northern region

The price of live pigs today (January 9, 2025) in the Northern region continued to record a slight increase in Yen Bai and Ninh Binh provinces, both increasing by VND 1,000, reaching VND 69,000/kg and VND 68,000/kg, respectively.

Currently, the price of live pigs in the region is fluctuating between 68,000 - 69,000 VND/kg. Of which, Hanoi, Bac Giang, Vinh Phuc, Tuyen Quang, Yen Bai are the provinces with the highest price in the country at 69,000 VND/kg. Ninh Binh has the lowest price of live pigs in the region at 67,000 VND/kg. The remaining localities in the region are commonly trading at around 68,000 VND/kg.

Central Highlands region

The price of live pigs today (January 9, 2025) in the Central Highlands region is stable. Currently, the price of live pigs in the Central Highlands region fluctuates between 66,000 - 68,000 VND/kg. In particular, Lam Dong province still maintains the highest price of live pigs in the region at 69,000 VND/kg.

Next, Thanh Hoa, Binh Thuan, Dak Lak provinces have the same purchase price of 68,000 VND/kg. The remaining provinces have live pig prices ranging from 66,000 - 67,000 VND/kg.

Southern region

Similarly, the price of live pigs in the Southern region today (January 9, 2025) has not fluctuated. Currently, the price of live pigs in the Southern region is fluctuating between 66,000 - 69,000 VND/kg.

Of which, live pigs in Kien Giang reached 69,000 VND/kg, the same transaction level as Dong Nai and Tay Ninh. In Can Tho, Soc Trang, Ca Mau and Ben Tre, the price of live pigs reached 68,000 VND/kg. An Giang and Bac Lieu had prices of 67,000 VND/kg.

In general, the live hog market today has a slight increase in the Northern region, while the price in the other two regions remains stable. Survey shows that live hogs nationwide are being traded at around 66,000 - 69,000 VND/kg.
