According to the content of document No. 474/BVHTTDL-GD signed by Deputy Minister Trinh Thi Thuy and sent to ministries, branches, central mass organizations; People's Committees of provinces and centrally-run cities, the theme of family work in 2024 is: "Happy family, prosperous nation".

The messages include: Happy family is the foundation of a prosperous nation; Investing in family work is investing in sustainable development; Family: the starting point and destination of policy; Family values are the core of the national values; Family is the place to nurture and pass on good cultural values; Building the personality of Vietnamese people starts with moral education and lifestyle in the family; Happiness will shine in a family without violence; Domestic violence is a violation of the law; Preventing and combating domestic violence is the responsibility of the whole society.
Regarding family work in 2014, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism also outlined specific tasks, such as: Organizing the implementation and enforcement of the Law on Prevention and Control of Domestic Violence and legal documents on family, prevention and control of domestic violence; Reviewing, developing and submitting to competent authorities for promulgation of legal documents; management and operation documents; Implementing documents of the Government, Prime Minister and Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism on family work; Conducting interdisciplinary inspections on family work...
Regarding the task of communication and education, the document clearly states that it is necessary to continue to propagate and educate about ethics and lifestyle in the family; prevent and combat domestic violence, implement gender equality in the family, care for, protect and educate children and promote the role of the elderly in the family on mass media and the internet; organize communication activities on family values on the occasion of International Day of Happiness (March 20) with the theme "Happiness for everyone"; Vietnamese Family Day (June 28) with the theme "Happy family, prosperous country"; National action month on preventing and combating domestic violence with the theme "End violence, foster love".
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism also requested ministries, branches, central mass organizations and People's Committees of provinces and cities to coordinate and implement; send a report on implementation results to the Ministry (through the Department of Family) before November 30, 2024.
