Meeting with Dak Nong Provincial Press on the occasion of the 98th Anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day

Comrades: Luu Van Trung, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Ho Van Muoi, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Dieu Xuan Hung, member of the Standing Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee; comrades who are members of the Provincial Party Committee, leaders of the Provincial People's Council, People's Committee, and Fatherland Front Committee; leaders of departments, branches, unions, localities, local and central press agencies residing in the province, and authors and groups of authors who won the 7th Dak Nong Provincial Journalism Award in 2022 attended.

Within the framework of the ceremony, delegates and journalists in the province reviewed the 98-year tradition of Vietnam's revolutionary press and looked back at the results of the province's press activities in recent times.

Representatives of press agencies inside and outside the province also had discussions, recommendations, and proposals for discussion with the province regarding press work in the area.

A large number of cadres, members, and journalists working at local and central press agencies residing in the province attended.

Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Muoi acknowledged and commended the efforts and important contributions of local and central press agencies stationed in the province and sent sincere thanks and congratulations to the team of journalists on the occasion of the 98th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day.

Provincial leaders presented flowers and congratulated press and media agencies in the province.

Comrade Ho Van Muoi affirmed that the press operating in Dak Nong province has promptly reflected developments in all aspects of social life, the thoughts and legitimate aspirations of the people; discovered and encouraged new factors, advanced models in society and achievements in the renovation process of the country in general and the province in particular.

Congratulating the happy day of journalists, the Chairman of Dak Nong Provincial People's Committee hopes that press agencies and journalists operating in the province will continue to properly implement the principles, purposes and missions of revolutionary journalism in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland today; proactively deploy the Digital Transformation Strategy of journalism, make the most of the advantages of new media platforms, and apply artificial intelligence suitable to the province's conditions.

Comrade Ho Van Muoi, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Dak Nong Provincial People's Committee acknowledged and commended the efforts and important contributions of local and central press agencies stationed in the province in the past time.

Press agencies and journalists need to widely implement the movement "Building a cultural environment in press agencies" with the motto of building each press agency into a typical cultural agency; improving professional ethics, social responsibility, and civic responsibility of journalists.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Muoi requested departments, branches, sectors and localities to continue to pay attention, accompany, support and create the most favorable environment for provincial and central press agencies to fulfill their missions.

Journalist Nguyen Phi Long, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Dak Nong Newspaper, presented a paper at the meeting.

On this occasion, the People's Committee of Dak Nong province awarded certificates of merit to reporters from outside the province who have made positive contributions to information and propaganda work in the province in recent times.
