On the evening of March 21, the French Institute in Vietnam organized a meeting with French writer Bernard Werber, on the occasion of his visit to Vietnam.
During the exchange held at the Institute for Cultural Exchange with France (IDECAF, 31 Thai Van Lung, District 1), the author briefly introduced the works: Ants , Ant's Day , Ant Revolution and Pandora's Box - which have been translated into Vietnamese and published by Nha Nam.
Bernard Werber is one of the most widely known contemporary French writers. After studying law and criminology in Toulouse, Bernard Werber entered the journalism school in Paris. His first major report was made abroad, on the theme of safari ants in the Ivory Coast. It was the investigation of safari ants that inspired the writer to write his first novel Ant (1991). The work quickly became a resounding success in France and around the world , especially in Korea and Russia.
To date, Bernard Werber has written about 30 books in many genres such as novels, short stories, plays... Bernard Werber's works have been translated into 30 languages and sold more than 23 million copies worldwide. Bernard Werber's most recent published work was in October 2023, titled Le temps des chimères (Temporary translation: The Time of Illusions ).
