Linking the launching of emulation to celebrate major holidays with taking care of social security and showing gratitude

On August 13, comrade Nguyen Ho Hai, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee chaired a meeting between the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee and specialized agencies advising and assisting the City Party Committee and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, and socio-political organizations in the first 6 months of 2024.

The conference evaluated a number of outstanding results of the agencies and units advising the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee and the Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee in leading and directing the implementation of Party building and political system building since the beginning of the year. At the same time, it reviewed the situation and progress of implementing Plan No. 05 of the Document Subcommittee on preparing documents for the 12th Ho Chi Minh City Party Congress, term 2025-2030.

Standing Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Nguyen Ho Hai commented that the advisory and support agencies of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, and socio-political organizations have closely followed the directions, tasks, annual work programs, and quarterly work plans to proactively advise and perform well the tasks within the functions and tasks of their units.

The agencies have promptly advised the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee to synchronously and comprehensively lead and direct all aspects of Party building and the political system in conjunction with implementing the 2024 Theme of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, achieving many positive results. In particular, the focus is on resolutely and persistently building and rectifying a clean and strong Party and political system. At the same time, strengthening discipline and order and promoting the vanguard, exemplary spirit, courage, dynamism, creativity, daring to think and dare to do of cadres and Party members.

In addition, successfully organized a number of major events in Ho Chi Minh City, working sessions with Central delegations; promptly advised on the establishment of sub-committees for the 12th Ho Chi Minh City Party Congress according to Directive No. 35 of the Politburo; issued plans to prepare and organize grassroots party congresses and upper-level party congresses for the 2025-2030 term.

Assessing that the workload of agencies in the coming time is very large, with many unexpected and arising tasks, comrade Nguyen Ho Hai requested to do better in coordinating, exchanging and providing information between agencies.

At the same time, the agencies proactively advise and perform well the work to ensure quality, efficiency and progress; promote the role of the Standing Committee of the Subcommittee assisting in the preparation and organization of the 12th Congress of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, the steering committees of the City Party Committee to promptly advise on the leadership and direction of the synchronous and comprehensive implementation of Party building and the building of the city's political system.

The Standing Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee requested that leaders of agencies proactively review, adjust, supplement and complete the job position descriptions of the agencies, synchronize with the list of job positions and the number of employees according to the assigned payroll, arrange the apparatus, restructure the staff to ensure the capacity to complete the tasks of each agency well.

In addition, the staff organized and launched emulation campaigns to celebrate major holidays in 2025, especially the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South, National Reunification and Party Congresses at all levels. He requested special attention to taking care of the lives of people, policy families, people with meritorious services, poor households and near-poor households with the motto of leaving no one behind.
