Nearly 800 doctors trained during COVID-19 pandemic receive diplomas

On August 20, Hanoi Medical University held a graduation ceremony for 786 doctors in the following training majors: Medicine, Traditional Medicine, Preventive Medicine, Dentistry, course 2018 - 2024.

The valedictorian of Hanoi Medical University's Medicine major is Tran Le Duc Anh, 24 years old, with a total score of 8.57/10.

Associate Professor, Dr. Le Dinh Tung, Vice Rector of Hanoi Medical University, said that more than 80% of the doctors in the course achieved excellent and fair results. This is also a special course in the training history of Hanoi Medical University when studying took place during 2 years of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Hanoi Medical University is one of the few schools that does not suspend training but organizes online theory teaching, small group practice, and arranges supplementary clinical skills training... to ensure graduation on schedule.

"Teachers and students have had to both teach and study while actively participating in epidemic prevention on many fronts across the country," said Associate Professor Tung.

At the ceremony, the new traditional medicine doctor Dao Thi Huong Giang - representing the doctors receiving their graduation certificates - was moved: "Today is a very special day, ending a 6-year journey of study. We have learned a lot of knowledge, gone through hundreds of competency assessment exams. It is very difficult to find a gap in the timetable. Thank you teachers for equipping us with a noble profession, a certain amount of knowledge and skills so that we are ready to become medical staff, practicing to help patients and the community".
