Nearly 2,000 works entered the national art photography contest Pride of a border strip

After more than two months of launching, the organizing committee of the third national art photography contest with the theme of Pride in a Border Strip in 2024 received many entries including single photos and photo collections from professional and amateur authors.

This national art photography contest is chaired by the Central Propaganda Department, organized by the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists in coordination with the Central External Relations Department, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Ministry of Public Security, the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army, and the Border Guard Command.

The contest is open to all Vietnamese citizens aged 15 and over, both domestic and foreign, and foreigners working and living in Vietnam.

Each author can submit up to 10 photos (including single photos and photo series). Photos must be taken from 2022 to present.

Contest photos introduce the beauty of the homeland, country, and people in the border areas on land; achievements of innovation and international integration in the process of building and defending the Fatherland in the border areas of our country;

Historical, cultural, human and natural values ​​stretch across Vietnam's land borders; reflecting the exploitation and development of tourism potential in the border provinces of Vietnam - China, Vietnam - Laos, Vietnam - Cambodia.

The creative space includes 25 provinces with land borders on Vietnam - Laos, Vietnam - China, Vietnam - Cambodia: Quang Ninh, Lang Son, Cao Bang, Ha Giang, Lao Cai, Lai Chau, Dien Bien, Son La, Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Quang Binh, Quang Tri, Thua Thien Hue, Quang Nam, Kon Tum, Gia Lai, Dak Lak, Dak Nong, Binh Phuoc, Tay Ninh, Long An, Dong Thap, An Giang, Kien Giang.

The Organizing Committee will award prizes for two categories of single photos and photo series, including: 2 first prizes (each prize is 20 million VND), 4 second prizes (each prize is 15 million VND), 6 third prizes (each prize is 10 million VND) and 10 consolation prizes (each prize is 5 million VND).

As of noon on June 21, the organizing committee received 1,995 entries from 879 authors, from 61 provinces and cities.

Deadline for photo submissions is August 15, 2024.
