Sharing at the opening of the event, Mr. Truong Gia Binh, Chairman of FPT Board of Directors, introduced the potentials of attracting investment in Vietnam such as comprehensive support from the Government with national strategic orientations in technology, technology human resources, etc.
"Pharmaceuticals is one of the industries that will apply AI the most, especially in vaccine and drug development. This assessment was made by Mr. Binh based on FPT's 10 years of experience in AI research. "With 10 years of experience in AI research and development and working directly with leading organizations and experts in this field, we have seen many new ideas emerging from AI in a variety of fields," said FPT Chairman Truong Gia Binh .

At the event, representatives of pharmaceutical corporations such as AstraZeneca, Roche, Sanofi, Novartis, MSD, Safoni, Pfizer, Merck, Sumitomo, Pharma Group... highly appreciated the improvements in the special legal framework in the Pharmacy Law to increase patients' access to new drugs and vaccines, and were excited about the orientations demonstrating Vietnam's strong commitment to promoting new technological advances through Resolution 57 - NQ/TW.
Representatives of these corporations also shared about investment projects in clinical research activities, production technology transfer, programs to improve public health, the role of technology and inventions in the medical and pharmaceutical fields, and the desire to promote cooperation and expand investment in Vietnam, to make Vietnam a competitive research and production center in the region.
Pharma Group representative, Mr. Burak Pekmezci shared his impressions of Vietnam's ambitious target of GDP growth and vision of becoming a developed, high-income country by 2045 according to Resolution 57 - NQ/TW.
Mr. Burak Pekmezci also affirmed that with the strong changes in science and technology development, the pharmaceutical industry will play a key role in helping Vietnam achieve these goals. At the same time, Mr. Burak Pekmezci also committed that Pharma Group is ready to carry out three important actions including accompanying the Ministry of Health to implement important goals of the industry; sharing international models and experiences in science and technology development, innovation, and digital transformation in the health sector; and contributing ideas to improve the legal framework to help Vietnam realize the goals of Resolution 57-NQ/TW.
In his closing remarks at the Seminar, Politburo member and Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Nguyen Van Nen emphasized the important role of technology, especially AI and data in the healthcare sector, helping people live longer and live more valuable lives. According to the Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, the Vietnamese Government is ready to work closely with business leaders to implement the proposals made at the Seminar to maximize the outstanding advances of technology to help improve people's health.
“Ho Chi Minh City will have pilot mechanisms for pharmaceutical businesses to implement their proposals in a transparent manner and create conditions to replicate this success nationwide,” Ho Chi Minh City Party Secretary Nguyen Van Nen emphasized.
