This is very good news for Vietnam Professional Football Joint Stock Company (VPF) and the Referee Board of Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) when the process of applying VAR technology in Vietnam has been recognized and well evaluated by FIFA.

Previously, VPF applied VAR technology in 3 matches in the second phase of V-League 2023.

Specifically, VAR was used in the match between Viettel and Ha Tinh, followed by the match between Hanoi FC and Hai Phong and the match between Hai Phong and Nam Dinh.

After a period of use, Vietnamese referees have also become more proficient in using VAR.

In addition, VAR has also somewhat gained the trust of domestic football teams and fans.

The match chosen to apply VAR technology this time is the decisive match between Viettel and Hanoi Police Club (CAHN), in round 6 of phase two of V-League 2023.

This is considered the decisive match in the V-League championship race this year.

Mr. Ngo Duy Lan will be the main referee in the match between Viettel and CAHN. The two assistants are Mr. Nguyen Trung Hau and Mr. Nguyen Trung Viet.

Meanwhile, Mr. Duong Huu Phuc will control the VAR room, the VAR assistant referee is Mr. Mai Xuan Hung. The table referee is Mr. Vu Nguyen Vu.
