EVNHANOI Chairman Nguyen Anh Tuan was transferred and appointed as EVN General Director to replace Mr. Tran Dinh Nhan who resigned according to his personal wishes.
The Chairman of the Board of Directors of EVN today signed a Decision to appoint Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan, Chairman of the Board of Members of Hanoi Electricity Corporation (EVNHANOI) as General Director of EVN for 5 years. The Decision takes effect from tomorrow (December 1).
On the same day, the Enterprise Capital Management Committee also decided to temporarily appoint Mr. Tuan as a member of the EVN Board of Members for 5 years, starting from December 1.

Mr. Tuan was born in 1967 in Hanoi. He is an electrical engineer with over 30 years of experience in the industry, has a Master's degree in Business Administration, and a senior degree in political theory. Before becoming the new General Director of EVN, Mr. Tuan held many important positions, such as Head of Planning Department, Deputy General Director, General Director and has held the position of Chairman of EVNHANOI since 2013.
The replacement of EVN's General Director and the reorganization of the group's Board of Directors were made at the request of the Government Standing Committee, in the context that some previous leaders were disciplined for being responsible for the electricity supply, causing a power shortage in the North in May and June 2023.
Previously, at the end of October, along with the review and disciplinary process, the State Capital Management Committee at Enterprises considered and asked for opinions from competent authorities on assigning other tasks or terminating EVN General Director Tran Dinh Nhan as desired. Mr. Nhan will retire from December 1. Before leaving the position of EVN CEO, Mr. Nhan had been in this position for nearly 5 years.
