Despite having a goal disallowed in Man City's 1-1 draw with Brighton, striker Erling Haaland still made Premier League history after setting up Phil Foden's goal.

In the away match at Brighton (Premier League round 32), Man City opened the scoring in the 25th minute after a quick counter-attack from midfield.
Erling Haaland escaped down the right wing after a pass from his teammate. Despite being one-on-one with the goalkeeper, the Norwegian striker did not shoot but instead passed to Phil Foden to open the scoring.
With this assist, Haaland has contributed to 44 goals in the Premier League this season (36 goals, 8 assists), equaling the record in a 38-game season set by legend Thierry Henry in the 2002/03 season (24 goals, 20 assists).
Haaland could have even broken Henry's record if he hadn't had his goal disallowed by VAR in the 72nd minute.
However, the striker born in 2000 still has one match left to surpass the French legend. In round 38, Man City will say goodbye to the season with an away match against Brentford.
Coach Pep Guardiola also reacted so violently that he received a yellow card from the referee after Haaland's goal was disallowed.
Earlier, referee Simon Hooper disallowed Haaland's goal because he thought he had pulled Levi Colwill's shirt before jumping high to head the ball into Brighton's net.
"Look at that situation. If that was a mistake, every action towards Erling is also a mistake," said coach Pep Guardiola.
"This is a match that Man City have to play after the days of celebrating the Premier League title. We still play well and that is why we are champions before this match.
We showed what we can do with and without the ball. I didn't see any drop in intensity or ideas. They had chances, we had chances, we scored, they scored.
"Both teams want the ball, both teams want to press. The goalkeeper is a fundamental factor in this game," added coach Pep Guardiola.
