Hanoi Railway Transport Joint Stock Company said that the railway will continue to increase 9 trains to meet passenger travel needs during the peak period of Lunar New Year 2024.
The railway will add nearly 10 more passenger trains to and from Hanoi during Tet. (Illustration photo).
Specifically, train TN3 will depart from Hanoi on January 28 (December 18); trains SE13 and SE15 will depart from Vinh station on January 29 (December 19).
Thong Nhat route, departing from Saigon station, added train TN4 to run on January 30 (December 20); trains SE14, SE16 to run on January 31 (December 21).
Hanoi - Hai Phong route, additional train LP9 departs from Hanoi station on February 7 (December 28) and train HP4 departs from Hai Phong station on February 13 and 14 (January 4 and 5).
The railway is still applying many preferential policies to support train passengers: Discounts for social policy beneficiaries, union members, passengers with customer cards; 5% discount on return tickets for passengers buying round-trip tickets. In particular, students will receive a discount of 10% to 20% on ticket prices depending on the day of travel.
