This afternoon (May 23), the Vietnam People's Public Security Sports Association and T&T Group signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in training and selecting table tennis players to compete in domestic and international tournaments. The two units will cooperate to develop the CAND table tennis sport in particular and Vietnamese table tennis in general in a professional and high-performance direction.
This is a milestone marking a turning point that helps table tennis coaches and athletes develop their abilities, strengths, and potential to contribute to the high-performance sports of the CAND in particular and Vietnamese sports in general. CAND table tennis hopes to affirm its reputation, improve its achievements at national tournaments, and contribute athletes and achievements to the national team at international tournaments.
CAND – T&T table tennis team held a departure ceremony to prepare to participate in the 2024 National Table Tennis Championship.
The two sides determined to train and improve the quality of table tennis athletes to reach international level and promote the image of professional table tennis athletes to attract young talents to participate in training and competition.
Coaches and athletes of Hanoi T&T Table Tennis Club will be arranged accommodation, meals and training at the CAND Sports Training and Competition Center. The two sides will also coordinate to exchange coaches and athletes. Accordingly, the selected coaches and athletes of Hanoi T&T Table Tennis Club will represent the CAND – T&T Table Tennis Team to participate in domestic and international competitions in accordance with the regulations of the tournament.
The CAND - T&T table tennis team set out to prepare for the 2024 National Table Tennis Championship which will take place in Nha Trang (Khanh Hoa) from May 31 to June 7. The CAND - T&T table tennis team aims to win 1 gold medal, 1 silver medal, 1 bronze medal, striving to rank 3rd overall.
The CAND-T&T table tennis team has two notable names. They are Dinh Anh Hoang and Tran Mai Ngoc. This is the pair that won the gold medal in the men's and women's event at the 32nd SEA Games.
“It is an honor for coaches, athletes and managers to wear the CAND uniform!”, Mr. Do Quang Hien - founder and Chairman of the Strategy Committee of T&T Group emphasized. Mr. Hien believes that the cooperation will contribute to spreading and developing mass sports and spreading other participating sports, helping the Vietnam CAND Sports Association to continuously develop in quantity and quality.
“I believe that the cooperation between the two sides will bring many good results, and hope that we will continue to work together to contribute to the development of Vietnam's sports in general, and the sports movement of the Public Security Forces and T&T Group in particular,” Senior Lieutenant General Luong Tam Quang, Deputy Minister of Public Security, Chairman of the Vietnam Public Security Sports Association, said.
