The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Transport has researched and built a modern and convenient bus network to meet the convenient travel needs of passengers connecting to Terminal T3.
On March 21, information from the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Transport and Public Works said that the unit has just sent a document to the Ministry of Construction, Vietnam Airports Corporation, and Tan Son Nhat International Airport about the plan to connect buses with Tan Son Nhat airport when T3 terminal is put into operation.

According to the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Transport, Tan Son Nhat Airport is the largest airport in the Southern region, with peak passenger volume reaching about 150,000 passengers per day.
With very high passenger traffic during rush hours, the airport transportation system and connecting routes are often overloaded.
Recently, many key projects have been implemented by the Department of Transport and Public Works to reduce traffic congestion in the Tan Son Nhat airport area.
At the same time, coordinate with Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Science Joint Stock Company to research and build a modern and convenient bus network to meet the convenient travel needs of passengers to and from the airport.
To promptly resolve traffic congestion in the airport area as well as meet travel needs when Terminal T3 is put into operation, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Transport and Public Works has requested Tan Son Nhat International Airport to consider prioritizing 5-7 locations in the T3 terminal area in front of the arrivals gate as places for buses to pick up and drop off passengers.
At the same time, the Ministry of Construction agreed with the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Transport to organize the connection of about 20 bus routes in the Tan Son Nhat airport area.
The Department also proposed to be the focal point for organizing the connection of bus routes in the Tan Son Nhat airport area and to study bus routes connecting Tan Son Nhat airport - Long Thanh international airport.

Previously, according to information from Tan Son Nhat International Airport, domestic passenger terminal T3 will be inaugurated on April 30 and officially put into operation after the peak period of April 30 - May 1.
Currently, Tan Son Nhat International Airport has planned to check the stable operation of equipment systems, passenger service procedures, training, and communication to passengers.
Tan Son Nhat International Airport is expected to operate domestic flights of Vietnam Airlines and Vietjet Air. The airport will conduct a practical test operation at the T3 domestic passenger terminal before inauguration.
Only 4 airlines Vasco, Bamboo Airways, Vietravel Airlines, Pacific Airlines will continue to operate at Domestic Passenger Terminal T1.
It is known that the construction of Terminal T3 has reached nearly 90% of the workload. The main items such as the bridge, elevator system, escalator, telescopic bridge, baggage conveyor, X-ray machine... are being accelerated.
Meanwhile, the Tran Quoc Hoan - Cong Hoa connecting road project has also achieved more than 90% of its overall progress. The project is completing the final stages to connect synchronously with Terminal T3 when it is put into operation.
