Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Tan Cuong affirmed that the Ministry of National Defense will create favorable conditions for the air forces of Vietnam and South Korea to fully and effectively implement the agreed cooperation contents.
On the afternoon of September 27 in Hanoi, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Tan Cuong, member of the Party Central Committee, member of the Central Military Commission, Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army, and Deputy Minister of National Defense, received General Lee Young Su, Chief of Staff of the Republic of Korea Air Force, on the occasion of his visit and work in Vietnam.
Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Tan Cuong emphasized that Vietnam always attaches importance to developing the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership with South Korea.
Based on the good relationship between the two countries, bilateral defense cooperation has witnessed steady development in recent times, especially in the fields of education and training, maritime security, overcoming the consequences of war, defense industry, and participation in United Nations peacekeeping operations.
General Lee Young Su informed Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Tan Cuong of the results of his previous meeting with Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Hien, member of the Party Central Committee and Commander of the Air Defense - Air Force. The two sides evaluated the results of cooperation in the past and agreed on the direction of cooperation in the future.
General Lee Young Su expressed his belief that bilateral defense cooperation in general and cooperation between the two countries' air forces in particular will further develop in the coming time.
Highly appreciating the results of the meeting, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Tan Cuong affirmed that the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defense always supports and is ready to create favorable conditions for the air forces of the two countries to fully and effectively implement the agreed cooperation contents, bringing cooperation between the two forces to increasingly develop substantially, sustainably, commensurate with bilateral defense cooperation in particular and Vietnam-Korea relations in general./.
