(PLVN) - Sam Son City aims to welcome 9.68 million visitors, serve 19.9 million tourist days, and earn an estimated VND21 trillion in tourism revenue by 2025.
On the morning of December 10, Sam Son City, Thanh Hoa Province held a Conference to summarize tourism activities in 2024 and deploy tasks for developing Sam Son tourism in 2025.
According to the report of the People's Committee of Sam Son City, in 2024, Sam Son tourism will continue to affirm its leading position in the province, as an attractive, friendly and safe destination for tourists. Accordingly, in 2024, Sam Son City welcomed 8.86 million visitors, equal to 109.3% over the same period, 104.3% of the plan; served 17.27 million visitor days, equal to 109.6% over the same period, 104.7% of the plan. Total revenue from tourists reached 17.1 trillion VND, equal to 140.6% over the same period, 108.8% of the plan.
With the results achieved in 2024, Sam Son city sets a target of welcoming 9.68 million visitors, serving 19.9 million visitor days in 2025; tourism revenue is estimated at 21 trillion VND. At the same time, building Sam Son into a city of festivals, a high-class entertainment center and a leading health care resort destination in the North Central region, Sam Son city is striving to implement key tasks and solutions to continue affirming the province's leading position as an attractive, friendly and safe destination for tourists.

To realize the above goals, Sam Son City will focus on synchronously implementing solutions, enhancing the effectiveness and efficiency of state management in the field of tourism services; diversifying products to attract tourists and extending tourism operation time; improving the quality of propaganda, promotion, and human resources, aiming to create a strong breakthrough in tourism quality in 2025. At the same time, the city will continue to strengthen inspection, supervision, urging, detecting and resolutely handling violations, especially violations of forcing guests to eat, stay, overcharging, and resisting officials on duty...
In the last months of 2024 and early 2025, Sam Son will carry out urban beautification work, clearing shops and kiosks encroaching on sidewalk corridors according to the commercial arrangement plan; have mechanisms and policies to encourage businesses to renovate, renovate and upgrade facilities to serve tourists...
Mr. Le Van Tu - Chairman of Sam Son City People's Committee said that in 2025, the City will accelerate the development of tourism in the South with resort tourism, culinary areas serving tourists...; create favorable conditions for domestic and foreign enterprises to invest in tourism facilities, especially entertainment services and high-class restaurants.

The city will diversify tourism products by coordinating with localities inside and outside the province to build tours and tourist routes with Sam Son beach as the destination; build plans to develop tourism types that are strengths such as beach bathing, resorts, spiritual tourism, entertainment services, tourism combined with conferences, resorts, nature exploration, golf tourism... to serve the increasingly high and specialized needs of tourists.
Sam Son also focuses on researching and perfecting night economic services (night market, walking street...) to attract the market of customers with high spending ability and long stay, with the expectation of shifting the number of customers in both space and time.
Speaking at the conference, Permanent Vice Chairman of Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van Thi said: "To further promote the achieved results, Sam Son City People's Committee needs to continue to focus on developing infrastructure and technical facilities for tourism, while promoting administrative reform, creating a favorable investment environment to attract strategic investors and businesses with strong brands. The locality needs to support investors in the implementation process to speed up the progress of key projects, and soon form large-scale, high-class, complex tourism service areas of national and international stature...".
