La Gi tourism - a vibrant year

In 2023 – a vibrant year for tourism – La Gi welcomed over 280,000 visitors for sightseeing and relaxation, an increase of more than 7.5% compared to the same period last year.

When visiting La Gi town, beach tourism is probably the top choice for many tourists. What could be more enjoyable and refreshing than immersing yourself in the clear blue sea water, savoring the salty taste of the ocean after tiring days of work? That's why beaches like Doi Duong (Binh Tan ward), Cam Binh (Tan Phuoc commune), Tam Tan bay (Tan Tien commune), and seaside resorts such as Coco Beach Camp, Sunset Beach, Aurora Resort, Hon Ba La Gi Resort Beach… always attract tourists from near and far to visit and swim. Especially on weekends or holidays like New Year's Day, Hung Vuong Ancestor Commemoration Day, April 30th, May 1st, or National Day (September 2nd)… these beaches and resorts become even more bustling.

After relaxing in the cool sea water and enjoying the fresh air, many tourists thoroughly enjoy strolling through the seafood market to personally select the freshest seafood, then preparing and savoring dishes that embody the authentic flavors of the coast.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Cam Tho, a tourist from Ho Chi Minh City, shared: “Every year, during the summer holidays, my husband and I usually bring our children to La Gi to visit and swim in the sea. Our family really loves the climate and the fresh seafood of this region.”

Besides its natural advantages of "blue sea, white sand, and golden sunshine," La Gi town also boasts the national historical and cultural relic, Thầy Thím Shrine – a renowned spiritual and religious tourist destination throughout the country for a long time. In addition to the solemn ceremonies held at the Thầy Thím Shrine Cultural and Tourism Festival on the 15th day of the 9th lunar month every year, the town invests heavily in organizing the festival with many lively activities: a cake-making competition, a chess tournament, a bird-singing contest, and competitions showcasing the beauty of coastal life such as net weaving, carrying fish, and carrying baskets out to sea… These activities always attract and leave a positive impression on visitors from near and far due to their simplicity, rusticity, and friendliness. It is known that every year during the festival, La Gi town welcomes thousands of visitors from all over to offer incense and commemorate the merits of Thầy Thím.

Besides the aforementioned locations, when visiting La Gi town, some tourists who love the natural beauty of mountains, rivers, lakes, plants, and flowers... places with picturesque scenery... often seek out Farm Homestay Ho Nui Dat or Moc Yen flower garden located in Tan Tien commune.

In recent years, Farm Homestay Ho Nui Dat has attracted tourists from near and far thanks to its cool climate and pristine natural environment. Here, visitors can forget the worries and anxieties of life and have their souls refreshed by the vibrant green of the plants and flowers.

With its spacious and picturesque setting, Moc Yen Flower Garden, located in Hiep Tin village, Tan Tien commune, La Gi town, is one of the most popular destinations for tourists to visit and take photos for social media. True to its name, Moc Yen (meaning "peaceful and serene"), anyone who visits will share the same feeling: the scenery is incredibly rustic and peaceful. Besides sightseeing and taking souvenir photos, visitors can also enjoy the cool air and relax in a tranquil atmosphere after a tiring day at work. The garden boasts a diverse array of flowers: the vibrant yellow of sunflowers, the red, pink, and orange hues of bougainvillea, the bright yellow of mustard flowers, the deep purple of button flowers, and most strikingly, the butterfly flowers in various shades of white, purple, yellow, and pink. Therefore, anyone who wanders into Moc Yen Flower Garden will surely capture stunning and beautiful photos.
