A Muay Thai class
On his X account (formerly known as Twitter), Prime Minister Srettha said that the Thai government is willing to issue 90-day visas, instead of the usual 60 days, for those who want to learn Muay Thai.
This special visa will also be granted to foreigners who want to learn traditional dance and Thai cooking, which are part of Thailand's so-called "soft power" group.
Prime Minister Srettha’s plan has received positive feedback from many Thai citizens. Many people praise this idea as a way to promote tourism and Thai culture without spending extra on promotion.
Meanwhile, there are also those who disagree and believe that the government should focus on one element of soft power before moving on to the next, instead of trying to promote many elements at the same time.
