News of cold air strengthening in the North and heavy rain in the Central region
The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting said that currently, cold air has affected most of the Northeast and some places in the North Central region. The Gulf of Tonkin has strong northeast winds of level 6, gusting to level 7.
In the evening and night of the same day, cold air continues to affect other places in the North Central region, some places in the Northwest and Central Central regions. Northeast wind inland level 2-3, coastal areas level 3-4.

During this cold spell, the weather in the North will change little. From the night of November 1, the North will have cold nights and early mornings, while the mountainous areas will have cold nights and early mornings. The lowest temperature in the North, Thanh Hoa and Nghe An is generally 19-21 degrees Celsius, in the mountainous areas 16-19 degrees Celsius, and in some high mountainous areas below 15 degrees Celsius.
At sea, the Gulf of Tonkin and the northern sea area of the North East Sea have strong northeast winds at level 6, gusting to level 7-8, rough seas, waves 1.5-2.5m high.
According to the meteorological agency, from November 3 to November 5, the North and Central Central regions are likely to experience heavy rain, locally very heavy rain and thunderstorms with rainfall ranging from 100-200mm, with some places experiencing over 300mm. In particular, from Ha Tinh to Da Nang, rainfall ranges from 200-400mm, with some places experiencing over 500mm.
From November 6, heavy rain will continue and may move down to the Ha Tinh to Binh Dinh area. Heavy rain in the central provinces is likely to last for many days.
Weather forecast for the next 10 days nationwide
Assessing the weather from the night of November 2 to November 10, the meteorological agency said that the North will have rain in some places, cold at night and early morning, and cold in mountainous areas. In particular, the Northeast and the plains from the night of November 3 to the morning of November 5 will have scattered showers and thunderstorms, with some places having heavy rain. Around November 4-6, the North will turn cold, with some places having severe cold in mountainous areas, and cold at night and early morning.
From around November 9, heavy rain in the North and Central Central regions will gradually decrease. From around the night of November 4 to November 6, the North Central region will turn cold. The South Central region will have scattered showers and thunderstorms.
The Central Highlands and the South from the night of November 3 to November 8 will have scattered showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening, with heavy rain in some places.
