Experts from the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting have just made an assessment of the weather situation in the next 10 days (October 10-19).
Specifically, the continental cold high pressure has weakened in intensity and is moving slowly to the East, and from around October 11-12 it will be weakly strengthened again. The southern low pressure trough with an axis of 7-10 degrees north latitude tends to lift its axis slowly to the North.
During this period, the weather in the North has changed after many dry sunny days and cold nights. On October 10-11, the area still has no rain, some places have fog in the early morning, sunny in the afternoon; from October 11-19, there will be rain in some places, sunny in the afternoon.
In the plains and coastal areas of the North, from the night of October 14 to 19, there will be scattered showers and rain. In the mountainous areas, it will be cold at night and early morning, with some places experiencing frost.
Thanh Hoa - Ha Tinh area: From October 10 to the night of October 19, there will be rain in some places, sunny in the afternoon.
Also during this time, from Quang Binh to Quang Ngai, there will be scattered showers and thunderstorms; especially from the night of October 11-13, there will be rain, moderate rain and scattered thunderstorms, locally heavy rain. During thunderstorms, be on guard against tornadoes and strong gusts of wind.
From Binh Dinh to Binh Thuan, the whole period will maintain intermittent sunny days, scattered showers in the afternoon and at night and thunderstorms in some places, locally heavy rain in some places.
Central Highlands and South, there will be showers and thunderstorms in some places; in the afternoon and evening there will be scattered showers and thunderstorms.
As for Hanoi weather , October 10-11, no rain, light fog in some places in the early morning, sunny in the afternoon; from the night of October 11 to the night of October 19, there will be rain in some places, sunny in the afternoon.
According to meteorologists, the weather in Hanoi and the northern provinces in the early autumn days of October is being affected by a cold and dry air mass. During the day, the sun is dry, the noon is hot, but at night and early morning, the air becomes chilly.
