Heavy rain forecast to cause flooding, Da Nang lets students stay home on November 13

On the evening of November 12, the Departmentof Education and Training of Da Nang issued an official dispatch to the Departments of Education and Training, schools, and educational institutions in the area informing students that tomorrow (November 13) will be off school.

The decision was based on the forecast of the Hydrometeorological Station, warning that on the night of November 12 and 13, there would be heavy rain, very heavy rain in some places, causing flooding in many places.

In order to proactively respond to the situation, the Department of Education and Training requires heads of units and schools to notify preschool children, students, and trainees across the city to stop going to school on November 13, 2023. Private universities will proactively decide on students' attendance based on the actual situation.

The Department of Education and Training of Da Nang requires the Department of Education and Training and schools to implement the directives of the Department of Education and Training and local leaders on natural disaster and flood prevention.

Da Nang announced that students will be off school on November 13.

The Department of Education and Training also requires schools to proactively and promptly organize cleaning and sanitation of classrooms when the water recedes and the rain stops so that preschool children, students, and trainees can return to school soon.
