'Project of the Century' Brings Notre Dame Cathedral Back to Life 5 Years After Catastrophic Fire

According to the French President, this is a "project of the century". The church was built in the 12th century, is one of the most beloved and visited buildings in the French capital. The church is expected to reopen next week to tourists and Catholics.

“ We have never seen a construction site like this. You have all contributed to this project of the century ,” Mr Macron told the carpenters, masons, art restorers, firefighters and donors. He praised them as “a cure” for the pain of the 2019 fire.
