At 9pm tonight, Ho Chi Minh City is scheduled to hold a high-altitude fireworks display at the Saigon River Tunnel (Thu Thiem Tunnel) in Thu Duc City and a low-altitude fireworks display at Dam Sen Cultural Park (District 11). The fireworks display will last for 15 minutes to celebrate National Day, September 2.
According to the reporter of Kinh te & Do thi Newspaper, from the afternoon of September 2, people in Ho Chi Minh City flocked to entertainment spots in the central area such as Nguyen Hue walking street, Ben Bach Dang park, book street area, food stalls, shopping malls... to have fun and wait to watch fireworks. Traffic routes into the center were crowded.
At around 6pm, many people gathered on Nguyen Hue walking street (District 1) to have fun and choose a good location to enjoy the artistic fireworks display. Many streets in District 1 also became crowded.
Similarly, on the streets in Thu Thiem Urban Area, Thu Duc City such as Nguyen Co Thach, Mai Chi Tho, To Huu, the arc boulevard... where there are beautiful views from early evening, there are also many people waiting to watch the fireworks.
"The weather in Ho Chi Minh City is cool tonight, so we don't have to go far, so my family went to the urban area early to eat, talk, and enjoy the cool air while waiting for the fireworks display" - Ms. Le Thanh Tu, living in Thu Duc City, said.
Similarly, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Nhan (living in District 3) also shared: "Since the afternoon, my girlfriend and I have moved to the city center, found a place to cool off, take pictures, and finally chose a location to watch the fireworks."
An hour before the fireworks start, the areas around the shooting location become more bustling and crowded. Most of the fireworks viewers are flocking along Bach Dang wharf park from Thu Ngu flagpole to the foot of Thu Thiem 2 bridge branch.
Previously, authorities banned vehicles from circulating on Nguyen Hue Street and some central streets of Ho Chi Minh City to organize a fireworks display.
