Recently, the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) Dong Nai province branch coordinated with the provincial Department of Planning and Investment to successfully organize the 2023 Conference to connect and meet with Enterprises and Cooperatives.
The conference was attended and directed by Comrade Nguyen Hong Linh - Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Comrade Cao Tien Dung - Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Comrade Thai Bao - Chairman of the Provincial People's Council and Comrade Cao Van Quang - Chairman of the Fatherland Front Committee of Dong Nai province; and the participation of representatives of the leaders of the State Bank of Vietnam, the provincial Department of Planning and Investment and functional departments and branches, representatives of the leaders of commercial bank branches, representatives of business associations and nearly 300 representatives of enterprises and cooperatives in the province.

The conference was chaired by Comrade Cao Tien Dung - Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and Comrade Nguyen Thi Hoang - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, exchanging and discussing with enterprises and cooperatives related to outstanding issues that enterprises are interested in and facing.
At the Conference, representatives of the Department of Planning and Investment of the province briefly reported on the socio-economic situation of Dong Nai province in the first 4 months of 2023, difficulties, obstacles and orientations and solutions to carry out tasks in the coming time.
According to the report, the industrial production development index in the first 4 months of the year increased by 2.03%; agricultural and fishery production was favorable and stable; total retail sales of goods and service revenue increased by 15.66%; the average price index in the first 4 months increased by 3.15%; export turnover reached over 6.93 billion USD, down 19.27% over the same period; import turnover reached over 5.37 billion USD, down 14.09% over the same period.
Regarding banking performance, as of March 31, 2023, capital mobilization in the whole area reached nearly 290 trillion VND, up 0.25% compared to the beginning of the year and outstanding credit reached more than 345 trillion VND, up 3.77% compared to the beginning of the year, basically meeting the capital needs for production, business and consumption activities of enterprises and people.

Also at the Conference, representatives of the leaders of the State Bank of Vietnam, Dong Nai branch, reported, discussed and directly answered questions about the policies and support solutions of the banking sector for businesses and customers at the present time, especially implementing the key contents of the policy of restructuring debt repayment terms, maintaining debt groups for customers according to Circular 02/2023/TT-NHNN, solutions of the State Bank in reducing operating interest rates and guiding credit institutions to continue to strive to reduce operating costs, reduce profit targets to strive to reduce lending interest rates for businesses and customers;
Continue to disseminate the hotline number of the State Bank of Vietnam's provincial branches to businesses and cooperatives in the area so that they can promptly contact and report difficulties and problems in accessing support policies of the banking sector.

The conference also heard direct comments from representatives of businesses, cooperatives and business and industry associations in the area, focusing on the following issues: support for restructuring debt repayment terms, debt extension for existing debts, credit needs, interest exemption and reduction, difficulties in implementing interest rate support programs, problems related to tax policies, land lease and policies to support the development of branded agricultural products of Dong Nai province.
Comrade Cao Tien Dung chaired the Conference and directly directed representatives of the State Bank of Vietnam, Dong Nai Province branch, representatives of the Provincial Tax Department, as well as relevant departments and branches to directly respond to comments and recommendations at the Conference or respond and provide written answers to the contents that need to be reviewed; recommend to the Central Ministries and branches the contents beyond the province's authority.

In his concluding remarks at the Conference, Comrade Nguyen Hong Linh - Secretary of Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee acknowledged the efforts and achievements of the business community and workers of Dong Nai province, identifying the success of the businesses as the success of the province.
At the same time, direct the Provincial People's Committee and local departments and branches to continue promoting more effective solutions to accompany, share and support provincial enterprises in the coming period, contributing to the successful implementation of the province's economic and political tasks in 2023./.
