On the occasion of the 77th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2024), on the morning of July 23, Comrade Tran Cam Tu, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Central Inspection Commission visited and presented gifts to meritorious people being cared for and nurtured at the Center for Care and Rehabilitation for Mentally Ill People of Thai Binh Province (Dong Kinh Commune, Dong Hung District).

Comrade Tran Cam Tu, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Central Inspection Commission and Comrade Ngo Dong Hai, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee presented gifts to meritorious people.

Also attending were leaders representing the Central Inspection Committee and the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs.

On the provincial side, there were comrade Ngo Dong Hai, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; comrades of the Provincial Party Standing Committee; leaders of a number of provincial departments and branches.

On behalf of the Party and State leaders, comrade Tran Cam Tu, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Central Inspection Commission, kindly asked about the health and expressed deep gratitude to the wounded soldiers, seriously ill soldiers, and relatives of meritorious people who are being cared for and nurtured at the Center; he wished the wounded soldiers, sick soldiers, and relatives of meritorious people always good health, peace of mind in their treatment, to be a shining example, contributing to spreading and educating traditions for today's generations to learn and follow.

The Chairman of the Central Inspection Committee said that, through the struggles for national liberation and protection of the Fatherland, Thai Binh is a province with a revolutionary tradition, with many contributions to the resistance war with the tradition of "Excess rice, excess troops, all for the frontline to gain independence and freedom for the nation". Visiting the Center, the comrade was very moved, admired and proud of the sacrifices and contributions of war invalids, sick soldiers and families of those who have contributed to the cause of national liberation, protection of the Fatherland and international duty.

Our Party, State and people forever honor and show gratitude to the heroic martyrs, war invalids, sick soldiers, and families of people with meritorious services to the revolution. In recent years, along with economic development, social security policies and policies to care for people with meritorious services have received more and more attention, and the care and nursing regimes for war invalids, seriously ill soldiers, and relatives of people with meritorious services have all been well implemented.

He was pleased to see that the Party Committee and authorities at all levels of Thai Binh province have paid attention to and fully and thoughtfully implemented the policies and regimes for people with meritorious services and families with meritorious services. The material and spiritual life of people with meritorious services and families with meritorious services has been increasingly improved.

The Chairman of the Central Inspection Commission acknowledged and commended Thai Binh province and the Thai Binh Provincial Center for Care and Rehabilitation for Mentally Ill People for their efforts in implementing well the regimes, policies, and care for people with meritorious services and families with meritorious services; thereby actively contributing to the care for people with meritorious services and families with meritorious services nationwide.

He requested the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs and Thai Binh province to continue to better implement the Party and State's guidelines, policies and regimes for people with meritorious services and families with meritorious services. Thai Binh Province Mental Health Care and Rehabilitation Center was established in April 1979 with the function and task of receiving, managing, caring for, nurturing and rehabilitating people with severe mental disabilities; including meritorious people with mental illness.

Currently, the Center is managing, caring for, and nurturing 236 people; including 61 people with meritorious services and relatives of people with meritorious services to the revolution.
