Comrade Nguyen Thi Thanh was elected Vice President of the National Assembly of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

With the majority of delegates in favor, the National Assembly elected comrade Nguyen Thi Thanh, member of the Party Central Committee, member of the National Assembly Standing Committee, Head of the Delegation Work Committee of the National Assembly Standing Committee, Deputy Head of the Central Organization Committee to hold the position of Vice President of the National Assembly of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

Leaders of the Party, State, National Assembly and Government presented flowers to congratulate the new Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly Nguyen Thi Thanh, the new Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long and the new Minister of Public Security Luong Tam Quang.

On the morning of June 6, at the 7th session, the National Assembly Standing Committee presented the National Assembly with a list of nominees for the National Assembly to elect the Vice President of the 15th National Assembly. National Assembly deputies discussed the list of nominees at the Delegation. The results of the discussion at the National Assembly Delegation were compiled by the National Assembly Standing Committee and reported to the National Assembly for discussion, voting to approve the list of candidates for the election of Vice President of the National Assembly and establishing a Vote Counting Committee.

On the same afternoon, the National Assembly elected the Vice President of the National Assembly by secret ballot. After listening to the Vote Counting Committee announce the vote counting results, the National Assembly voted to pass the Resolution to elect Comrade Nguyen Thi Thanh, member of the Party Central Committee, member of the Party Delegation of the National Assembly, member of the National Assembly Standing Committee, Head of the Delegation Work Committee of the National Assembly Standing Committee, Deputy Head of the Central Organization Committee; President of the Vietnam - Korea Friendship Parliamentarians' Group to hold the position of Vice President of the National Assembly of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

Thus, the current leadership of the National Assembly includes: National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man and 4 Vice Chairmen of the National Assembly: Nguyen Duc Hai, Nguyen Khac Dinh, Tran Quang Phuong and Nguyen Thi Thanh.
