On the afternoon of January 15, at the Provincial People's Council meeting to resolve urgent work, the process of electing the additional position of Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for the 17th term, 2021 - 2026 term, and implementing a number of personnel work contents was carried out.

At the meeting, the Provincial People's Council carried out the procedure to dismiss comrade Nguyen Khac Than from the position of Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term, who was approved by the Politburo to hold the position of Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.

Comrade Nguyen Tien Thanh, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council presented a proposal to introduce personnel for the Provincial People's Council to consider and elect the position of Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term. Accordingly, the proposal introduced Comrade Nguyen Manh Hung, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, as a candidate for the Provincial People's Council to elect to hold the position of Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for the 17th term, 2021-2026 term.
Agreeing on the introduced personnel, 100% of the Provincial People's Council delegates present voted to elect comrade Nguyen Manh Hung to hold the position of Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for the 17th term, 2021 - 2026.

Speaking at the ceremony, comrade Nguyen Manh Hung, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, respectfully thanked the delegates of the Provincial People's Council for their trust and confidence in electing him to the position of Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term.
Identifying this as an honor, pride and also a great task and responsibility assigned by the Party Committee, government and people in the province, he promised to make efforts, dedication and devotion with the highest sense of responsibility, proactively and promptly grasp the actual situation of the province, closely follow the grassroots, be close to, respect and listen to the opinions of the people, strive to complete the assigned tasks with quality and efficiency to meet the thoughts, aspirations and wishes of voters and people in the province; together with the collective leadership of the Provincial People's Committee, members of the Provincial People's Committee with the spirit of solidarity, unity, innovation, creativity, daring to think, daring to do, daring to take responsibility, inheriting and promoting the socio-economic development results achieved in the past time and overcoming limitations and difficulties; At the same time, closely follow the leadership of the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Council and the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress and the 20th Provincial Party Congress to focus on implementing and completing at the highest level the assigned goals, targets and key tasks.
