On the occasion of the 77th anniversary of the War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947-2024), on the morning of July 19, Comrade Nguyen Xuan Ky, Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, visited and presented gifts to express gratitude to Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, war invalids, sick soldiers, relatives of martyrs, and those who have made contributions to the revolution in Ha Long City. Accompanying him were Comrade Vu Quyet Tien, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Secretary of the Ha Long City Party Committee; leaders of the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs; and the Provincial Military Command.

Deeply moved during his visit to Heroic Vietnamese Mother Nguyen Thi Thuc, 92 years old (residing at Group 12, Zone 7, Cao Xanh Ward, Ha Long City), whose two sons were martyrs who sacrificed their lives in the resistance war against the US to save the country, Comrade Nguyen Xuan Ky, Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, expressed his deepest gratitude and appreciation for the silent but extremely great sacrifices of the Heroic Vietnamese Mother in the cause of building and protecting the Fatherland.

Showing heartfelt concern for her health and daily life, the Provincial Party Secretary wished Mrs. Nguyen Thi Thuc continued good health and encouraged her children and grandchildren to uphold the family's revolutionary traditions, actively participate in learning, working, and production, contributing to the development of Ha Long City in particular and Quang Ninh province in general.
The comrade also requested that local authorities and relevant departments continue to provide even better conditions to care for the lives and health of Mother Nguyen Thi Thuc in particular and Vietnamese Heroic Mothers in the area in general.

Next, the Provincial Party Secretary and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, along with the delegation, visited and presented gifts to Mr. Tran Van Dau, a disabled veteran of category 1/4, residing in Group 2, Zone 7, Hong Ha Ward; Mr. Hoang Van Deng, a participant in the resistance war against the US and suffering from chemical poisoning with 81% or more disability, currently living in Group 2, Zone 2, Hoanh Bo Ward; and visited the relatives of Martyr Nguyen Duy Diep in Group 3, Zone Van Yen, Viet Hung Ward.
During his visits, he expressed his emotion at the examples of wounded soldiers, sick soldiers, relatives of martyrs, and families of meritorious individuals who, overcoming the pain of their injuries, always demonstrated the noble qualities of "Uncle Ho's soldiers" in all circumstances, actively engaged in labor and production, and deservedly served as shining examples of unwavering will, resilience, and noble ideals for the younger generation to emulate.

The comrade affirmed that, with boundless gratitude and the tradition of "Drinking water, remember the source," and "Eating fruit, remember the tree planter," over the years, regardless of the circumstances, Quang Ninh province has always paid attention to leading, directing, and effectively implementing the work of "Paying gratitude and repaying kindness." Along with the State's policies and mechanisms, Quang Ninh province has issued its own policies to ensure that every citizen of Quang Ninh, especially those eligible for social welfare, enjoys the fruits of inclusive growth, leaving no one behind according to the criteria of "happiness."

The Resolution of the 15th Provincial Party Congress also emphasized the goal of "ensuring 100% of families and individuals who have rendered meritorious services to the revolution have a higher standard of living than the average standard of living of the local people." Therefore, the Provincial Party Secretary and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council requested local Party committees and authorities to continue to improve the effectiveness of the "Gratitude and Repayment" movement; fully and promptly implement policies, regimes, and standards for wounded soldiers, sick soldiers, and families of policy beneficiaries in the province. At the same time, great importance should be placed on educating the younger generation to always remember, inherit, and develop the revolutionary achievements of previous generations, building Quang Ninh into a model province that is prosperous, beautiful, civilized, and modern, where the people increasingly enjoy a comfortable, peaceful, and happy life.

War invalids and families of martyrs also expressed their joy and excitement at the attention shown by the Party and government at all levels to those who have contributed to the homeland. At the same time, they affirmed that they will always be exemplary, actively participate in local movements, educate their children to abide by the Party's guidelines and the State's policies and laws, focus on developing their family's economy, and contribute to building a more prosperous, beautiful, and civilized homeland together with the local government.
