Ha Tinh province will coordinate with Can Loc district to organize a ceremony to receive the Certificate of recognition of the Han Nom Documents of Truong Luu village - Documentary Heritage of the Memory of the World Program in June 2023.
The Vietnamese delegation representative received the UNESCO Asia-Pacific Memory of the World Documentary Heritage certificate for the Han Nom Documents of Truong Luu village in November 2022, in Korea.
According to Plan No. 128/KH-UBND dated April 13, 2023 of the People's Committee of Ha Tinh province, the Ceremony to celebrate the 310th anniversary of the birth of Third Prize Winner Nguyen Huy Oanh (1713 - 2023), the 280th anniversary of the birth of Nguyen Huy Tu (1743 - 2023), the 240th anniversary of the birth of Nguyen Huy Ho (1783 - 2023); receiving the Certificate of recognition of the Han Nom documents of Truong Luu village as a documentary heritage of the Memory of the World Program in the Asia - Pacific region; preparing some contents towards the 300th anniversary of the birth of Hai Thuong Lan Ong Le Huu Trac will be held on June 24, 2023.

Accordingly, in the morning at the Provincial Cultural - Cinema Center, there will be a ceremony to celebrate the birth anniversaries of famous people and receive the certificate of recognition as a documentary heritage of the Asia-Pacific Memory of the World Program for the Han Nom documents of Truong Luu village. The ceremony will end with a ceremony to receive the certificate from Ha Tinh city to Kim Song Truong commune (Can Loc).
In the afternoon of the same day, delegates will visit historical relics and intangible cultural heritages of Truong Luu village, Kim Song Truong commune (Can Loc) and visit the Hai Thuong Lan Ong Le Huu Trac relic site in Huong Son district.
The ceremony aims to honor the cultural celebrities of the Nguyen Huy family; to honor, introduce and promote the special and unique values of the Han Nom documents of Truong Luu village. This is also an opportunity for the government and people of Ha Tinh to express the gratitude of today's generation to the contributions of celebrities, to respect, preserve and promote cultural heritage. Thereby, arousing and promoting national pride, contributing to educating and promoting historical and cultural traditions, patriotic traditions; encouraging domestic and foreign organizations and individuals to actively participate in preserving, promoting and exploiting cultural heritage values associated with socio-economic development.

The famous Nguyen Huy Oanh (1713 - 1789) was called Kinh Hoa, with the pen name Luu Trai, and a layman named Thien Nam. He passed the provincial examination at Nghe An at the age of 20, was appointed as an official, and then gradually promoted to the position of District Chief of Truong Khanh. In 1748, Nguyen Huy Oanh passed the third examination at the age of 36, and was appointed as a lecturer in the Trinh Doanh Lord's palace, concurrently holding the position of Academician of the Academy. He was also a teacher of Lord Trinh Sam in his youth. Later, he held the positions of: Dong Cac Hieu Thu, Thuong Bao Tu Khanh, Dong Cac Dai Hoc Si, Tri Binh Phien, Noi Giang and then Tu Nghiep Quoc Tu Giam. In 1761, he was awarded the third rank to receive the Qing Dynasty envoy, and in 1765 he became the Chief Envoy to China. In 1768, he was promoted to Right Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Public Works and then Minister of the Ministry of Public Works. In 1783, Nguyen Huy Oanh resigned from his position as Tham Tung (the right to run government affairs) and returned to his hometown. Here, he established the Phuc Giang Library and opened a school called Truong Luu School, which was later evaluated as a school with a complete library that was not inferior to the prestigious schools in Thang Long. Just Truong Luu School and Phuc Giang Library alone made Truong Luu stand out as a rare cultural village in ancient times... The famous Nguyen Huy Tu (1743-1790) was the son of Nguyen Huy Oanh. In 1759, he passed the 5th provincial examination at Nghe school at the age of 17. He served as an official for the Le dynasty for a short time, then abandoned his official position to join the Tay Son dynasty and King Quang Trung in defeating the invading Qing army. Later, he returned to his hometown to live in seclusion with his father, the third-ranked Nguyen Huy Oanh, to build Phuc Giang School. He left behind many valuable literary works, the most prominent of which is The Tale of the Fairy. The famous Nguyen Huy Ho (1783 - 1841) was one of the sons of Nguyen Huy Tu, the nephew of the great poet Nguyen Du. He was famous for being "well-versed in astronomy and geography" and good at medicine. In 1823, Nguyen Huy Ho was summoned by King Minh Mang to the capital Hue to work as a royal physician, and also concurrently as a Linh dai lang at the Imperial Astronomical Observatory. Nguyen Huy Ho left to Vietnamese literature the famous work "Mai Dinh Mong Ky". The Han Nom documents of Truong Luu village (1689-1943) are a collection of 48 documents written in Han and Nom characters of 3 families (Nguyen Huy, Tran Van and Hoang family) in Truong Luu village. Of which, 26 documents are royal decrees of the Le and Nguyen dynasties (1689-1943), in honoring - bestowing gods, bestowing beautiful names - bestowing titles, bestowing positions; 19 administrative documents sent by the local government to the people of Truong Luu commune under the Nguyen dynasty (1803-1943) and 3 hangings measuring 97x197cm, 121x177cm and 70x127cm given to individuals on the occasion of celebrating longevity and passing exams (including: Mrs. Phan Thi Truu on the occasion of celebrating her 80th birthday, praising Nguyen Huy Quynh for passing the doctoral exam and celebrating Nguyen Huy Cau's 70th birthday). Along with the Phuc Giang School Woodblocks and the Hoang Hoa Su Trinh Do that were previously recognized by UNESCO, in November 2022, the Han Nom Documents of Truong Luu Village (1689 - 1943) were voted by the 9th meeting of the UNESCO Memory of the World Committee for Asia - Pacific (MOWCAP) as a Memory of the World Documentary Heritage of the Asia - Pacific region. |

Our country currently has many famous ancient villages, such as Duong Lam and Phuoc Tich, but there is no place like Truong Luu (Can Loc - Ha Tinh) with 3 cultural heritages honored by UNESCO.
