Leverage for Vietnamese businesses to conquer international markets

On July 30, the Ministry of Industry and Trade issued Decision No. 2008/QD-BCT approving the plan to organize an Exhibition of OCOP export products.

According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the exhibition comes from practical needs, aiming to effectively support businesses to participate more deeply in the global production and supply chain, adapting to the current trend of increasingly deep international economic integration. "Exhibition of OCOP export products" (VIETNAM OCOPEX) was assigned by the Ministry of Industry and Trade to the Trade Promotion Agency to organize.

VIETNAM OCOPEX 2024 will take place from October 31 to November 4, 2024 at Venice Area, Ocean Park 3 Urban Area, Hanoi. The program aims to introduce and create connections between OCOP enterprises with foreign enterprises, representative agencies and international trade promotion organizations in Vietnam.

The OCOPEX 2024 Exhibition is organized with the aim of promoting the export of Vietnamese OCOP products, supporting OCOP enterprises to participate more deeply in the global supply chain and improving the competitiveness of OCOP products in the international market.

This event will introduce high-quality Vietnamese OCOP products to international distribution channels and importers. At the same time, the exhibition creates opportunities for OCOP enterprises to connect directly with foreign enterprises, representative agencies and foreign trade promotion organizations in Vietnam. Through this, OCOP enterprises can learn about international market needs, build cooperative relationships and expand export markets.

In addition, the exhibition also aims to widely promote high-quality OCOP products of Vietnam, contributing to creating a driving force to further promote the country's socio-economic development.

The exhibition is expected to have 300 booths, for more than 150 businesses with OCOP products to display and promote their products. In addition, there will be a number of international businesses in the related technology sector participating in the form of socialization; together with localities such as the Trade and Investment Promotion Centers of provinces and cities.

Exhibition participants include enterprises and cooperatives with recognized OCOP products and export potential in the fields of: processed food, agricultural and forestry products, textiles, footwear, handicrafts, household goods, etc.

VIETNAM OCOPEX 2024 is a good opportunity for OCOP entities to approach foreign enterprises, representative agencies, and foreign trade promotion organizations in Vietnam. In addition, meeting with experts with experience in the field of import and export at the exhibition will support OCOP entities in renewing production thinking and organizing production in a systematic and sustainable manner.

In addition, foreign representative agencies and trade promotion organizations will have the opportunity to access information about markets and OCOP standard products of localities. Export enterprises, domestic distributors and foreign distributors in Vietnam will have the opportunity to meet reputable OCOP entities, expand and diversify their purchasing sources.

This is also an opportunity for importers to explore new and potential OCOP products of Vietnam, thereby creating opportunities to exchange information and connect supply and demand of goods, bringing OCOP products to the international market.

The event also hopes that localities will be able to promote their OCOP products and participate in the global production and supply chain. At the same time, provide the most practical and direct support to local businesses and industries, opening up business cooperation opportunities with foreign partners.

In preparation for the OCOPEX 2024 Exhibition, the Trade Promotion Agency is actively coordinating with localities and relevant units to attract potential OCOP enterprises to participate. The Organizing Committee will also organize communication, promotion and trade promotion activities to attract many international importers to attend the event.

VIETNAM OCOPEX 2024 is expected to create a breakthrough in the development of OCOP products, while contributing to promoting Vietnam's exports and international economic integration.
