The Vietnamese team lost 0-2 to China in a friendly match at Dalian Stadium on the evening of October 10. This is a match that counts points on the FIFA rankings.

According to the latest update from Football-ranking , the Vietnamese team has been deducted 4.48 points after losing to the Chinese team. Coach Troussier's team still maintains the 95th position in the world with 1238.66 points.

However, it should be added that this is a daily ranking (calculated based on FIFA's formula). At this time, many other teams have not yet played. Therefore, the Vietnamese team has maintained its ranking.

In the coming days, when national teams begin playing matches in the FIFA Days series (a series of international matches according to FIFA's schedule), the ranking of the Vietnamese team could be greatly affected after the loss to China.

Meanwhile, with an additional 4.48 points, the Chinese team rose 2 places to 78th in the world.

On October 13, the Vietnamese team will play Uzbekistan (ranked 73rd in the world) in Dalian. This match will be played behind closed doors and will not count towards the FIFA rankings.

On October 17, Coach Troussier and his team will play against the 26th ranked team in the world, South Korea. Due to the large difference in rankings between the two teams, if we win, we will be awarded 7.6 points. If we draw with South Korea, the Vietnamese team will be awarded 2.6 points and will be deducted 2.4 points if we lose.

The loss to China revealed many problems for the Vietnamese team. Coach Troussier's team has not developed a good attack and is also quite weak in counter-attacking.

The "Golden Star Warriors" need to improve a lot as their opponents Uzbekistan and South Korea are both ranked higher than China on the FIFA rankings.
