(Dan Tri) - The Vietnamese team will classify its members into levels A, B, C, D, depending on their level of contribution to the AFF Cup championship. The above levels are also the basis for distributing rewards.
Up to this point, the Vietnamese team has received more than 40 billion VND in rewards. This amount includes 300,000 USD (about 7.6 billion VND) from the Organizing Committee (OC) of the tournament, 7.2 billion VND from the VFF, 1.4 billion VND from the State's regulations (each athlete receiving the Southeast Asian Gold Medal will be awarded 40 million VND, the team has 26 athletes).
The rest comes from organizations, businesses, and benefactors. Based on the level of contribution of team members, the Vietnam team will classify members into levels A, B, C, D. Those in the above levels will receive the corresponding bonus amount according to their contribution.

In which, level A is the highest level, reserved for coach Kim Sang Sik (Korean) and key players, those who officially play for the whole team throughout the tournament, or those who do not officially play in every match, but still have great contributions, creating special breakthroughs every time they appear on the field.
This group includes Xuan Son, Thanh Chung, Tien Dung, Hoang Duc, goalkeeper Dinh Trieu, Tien Linh, Quang Hai, captain Duy Manh...
For example, Xuan Son only played about 50% of the entire time of the Vietnamese team at the AFF Cup 2024 (he only appeared from the 4th match of the group stage against Myanmar, then got injured and had to leave the field from the beginning of the second leg final against Thailand). In total, Xuan Son played more than 4 matches, out of a total of 8 matches of the Vietnamese team at the AFF Cup.
However, Nguyen Xuan Son's mark is so obvious, his contribution to the championship of the Vietnamese team cannot be calculated by the time he appeared, but by the effectiveness and efficiency of his work. Therefore, Xuan Son deserves to be ranked highest.
Hoang Duc played very well throughout the tournament, being the "midfield boss" of the Vietnamese team (Photo: Manh Quan).
As for Quang Hai, he made a big impression in the victory over Indonesia in the group stage, the victory over Thailand in the second leg of the final. Meanwhile, Tien Linh contributed greatly to the victories over Laos and Indonesia, changing the situation when he entered the field in the first leg of the semi-final against Singapore, and contributed greatly to the victory over Singapore in the second leg of the semi-final.
Therefore, Quang Hai and Tien Linh also made significant contributions, even though they did not officially play in all of the Vietnamese team's matches at the recent Southeast Asian Championship.
The bonus level B will be for players who play less than the players in group A, contribute a little less than the players in group A, but still contribute a lot to the whole team. Group B can have striker Bui Vi Hao, midfielder Hai Long, defender Van Thanh...
Group C is for players who rarely play, only coming on the bench. Level D is for players who do not play a single minute (goalkeeper Tran Trung Kien) and some team staff.
In addition to receiving bonuses at a common level, based on the general bonuses for the whole team, some members of the Vietnam team also receive individual bonuses. For example, Xuan Son was awarded 10,000 USD (more than 250 million VND) by a company for being the top scorer of the AFF Cup, while another company awarded him a car...
Goalkeeper Nguyen Dinh Trieu was awarded 550 million VND by Hai Phong city (the locality where he is playing for Hai Phong Club), Hai Long was awarded 300 million VND by his hometown Quang Ninh, members of Hanoi FC were awarded separately by Mr. Hien...
VFF will not interfere with the bonus levels of the Vietnam team. These levels are discussed and agreed upon by the team before VFF transfers the money to the respective individuals. After that, each individual is obliged to pay income tax on their bonus amounts, in accordance with financial regulations.
